Fast T friend says: The demands of algae are simple: sunlight, warmth, water, nutrients and, most significantly, carbon dioxide, the much maligned gas that is a major contributor to global warming. One group was looking at algae as a store for energy. Very positive about the possibilities. This is the sort of project that only the corporations have the money for. You'd think they would give it a go. I hope that eventually, as with most technologies, the spread will grow into more hands. Certainly it seems that this direction can become quite widely applied. |
