Robert Enke was born on 24 August 1977, he was a German international football goalkeeper.He won eight full international caps for the German national team between 2007 and his death in 2009, and he was part of the squad which finished as runners-up in Euro 2008. At the time of his death, he was widely considered to be a leading contender for the German number one spot at the 2010 World Cup.
