'If this all sounds like pie in the sky, think again. After all, how would physicists 200 years ago have reacted if you'd told them about the internet, the atomic bomb or the moon landings? What would they have made of Einstein's theory of relativity?"

One only has to read the science sites to find mind boggling events and discoveries etc. I loved science fiction as a kid, but nothing I read was as good as reading a health/science article from the present. We are so lucky to have easy access to this information.
I don't doubt that humans are capable of what Kaku suggests. (Providing we have a planet that we do more than "just exist" on)

The laws of physics exist whether we understand them or not. They never change. However, what we describe as the laws of physics are not the laws of physics. They are what we understand of a few aspects of the laws of physics. There is far more to the laws of physics than we understand.
This understanding changes day by day.
The more we learn, the less we find we know.

My thoughts exactly! We are so young and immature as a species and we relearn things all the time. As we progress thru the stages of knowledge we constantly are forced to revise our base platform.
I reckon our knowledge level to that of a...
