I can't help but wonder if the situation was reversed and the terrorists were here attempting to blow up planes on the way to Britain if we would have caught them.

I heard on the news that it's much easier to get a search warrant in Britain than in the US. Also, that their government can detain a suspect without charges for up to 21 days (if a British citizen).

LONDON - British police questioned 22 suspects Sunday in the alleged plot to bomb trans-Atlantic jetliners in mid-air, and the country's top law-and-order official warned that the risk of another attack still remained high.
