I don't know who's idea this was, but it's Bushian in it's disregard for veterans.

"Treatment for service-connected injuries is clearly within the responsibility of the U.S. government through the Department of Veterans Affairs -- period," said Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA).

There may be some things we can get away with going cheap on. Veterans shouldn't be on that list.
