Lambert over there isn't the only one who's defied it. I present, Lightfoot (I cna't seem to come up with a better name for it for the time-being.)

Actually gravity itself is just a theory. What we witness when you drop something is the affect of gravity. There is great amounts of research being done to find the elusive graviton. The particle that IS gravity.

Photons and Gravitons in Perturbation Theory: Derivation of Maxwell's and Einstein's Equations

Steven Weinberg said:

The S matrix for photon and graviton processes is studied in perturbation theory, under the restriction that the only creation and annihilation operators for massless particles of spin j allowed in the interaction are those for the physical states with helicity ±j. The most general covariant fields that can be constructed from such operators cannot represent real photon and graviton interactions, because they give amplitudes for emission or absorption of massless particles which vanish as pj for momentum p→0. In order to obtain long-range forces it is necessary to i...

The nature of gravity is what is in debate, not whether it exist or not. Is it a force, the curvature of space-time by the presence of mass or is it a particle...thats the debate and the theories.

I hope it is a particle. I like particles.

I like photons myself.

Kinda like a particle, but not really.

I like the built in flexibility.
