Turkey's hope of joining the EU is, IMO, the one and only item preventing a full Turkish invasion of northern Iraq at this time. Bush has little influence now with Turkey's aims or ambitions.

The answer is quite easy NO. During 93-95 period Turkish government worked with Saddam and they fought against PKK together, because both governments had bad effects of PKK. Nowadays there is not a "real" government in Iraq. they are puppets of USA. Bush wants a satellite of USA and dependent administration in Iraq to control petrol reserves easily and have power in Middle East Area. The impetus for the present difficulties are mainly an internal feud among the Kurds. Turkey make changes to please the EU concerning EU membership. The knock on effect was on the radical Kurd group, in completion with the other Kurd group. Their response was to attack Turkish forces. Am I making any sense? So innocent EU pressure equals Kurd attacks on Turkey!

My vote on Turkish entry is YES for now with this provision. But NO if I thought for a moment that Turkey's entry was to be ever used as a means of allowing Israel join the EU, or at least until there is a viable Palestinian state. And I'm thinking of those remaining bits of the West Bank and Gaza that are glorified prisons.

So yes, in my mind and my friends, Turkey's EU membership is tied to a viable state of Palestinian! Fairness isn't of interest here given the deprivations of the Palestinian people for nearly 60 years. Yes, everything points back to Israel in my mind and many other fair minds that I know. Everything.

Every clip has its own selected portions of the source, so most of times, seemingly "duplicate" clips contribute to each other, 2. It's good for important issues and stories to be clipped by different clippers, in order to draw attention.

It's good for important issues and stories to be clipped by different clippers, in order to draw attention.
