the result reflects a compassionate instinct towards
vulnerable infants that people have evolved to ensure the survival of future
generations.
Wow. That is a smart doctor. Most of us idiots would just assume that the emotions of people encourage them to act in a moral ways as opposed to the indifference that may result from a lack of emotional stimulus. This guy has it down. Of course it is tied to evolution and survival of the species. That makes perfect sense.

Would a picture of Barack and Michelle get the wallet returned?

HA!

I dropped mine outside GoMart, realized it, and returned 5 minutes later. GONE, with all my things in it.

The funny thing is that years ago I found this guy's wallet on the ground at a huge sale and held it up in the air and asked if anyone had lost it. The man thanked me for 10 minutes for my honesty.

You are a super hero, debbyski.

Why thank you Jeffrey!

You can make light of it all you want but I think it meant a lot to the person who lost the wallet.

I would have been very grateful myself. Most would have taken the wallet to the store office, but you actually had the quick thinking to call the store to attention. That is the action of a super-hero, not your every day do-gooder.

I have found several wallets over the years a jacket with a $100 bill in the pocket and, never once did I receive a thank you. With the jacket I got a: that money better be in the pocket or else.... If I found another wallet or anything like the jacket I would still return them.

The last time I lost a wallet in a public space, I got it back, minus the money. Some years ago, I found a coin purse at a bus stop with about $5.00 inside but no identification. I still have it in a drawer at home, with all the money inside. I have not yet reached a point where I need that change and intend to leave it until such time as I do.
