chestnut501 says: How far are we from building useful and practical virtual twins? There are many sophisticated models of individual organs and systems, such as network models of the metabolic, immune, nervous and circulatory systems; computational fluid dynamics models of blood flow; structural models of the heart and other muscl oh, what a grreat idea... As usual, I enjoyed reading the comments section to the article as much or more than the actual article. Wonderful idea ... wonder if it will ever come to reality. I think it has good possibilities, but it's going to take awhile It will never come to reality - rational preventive actions (which will be possible through virtual space) will eliminate not only diseases but medicine itself for good; although people will suffer from little deviations in health or it may be called somehow else... How they gonna die - that is separate question. |
