oh my God. i am absolutely horrified! i am a christian and i can not believe they are doing this. i love reading. and all sorts of books. no wonder the world hates us! Christians like this give the rest of us a bad name. gee, i thought that sort of behavior was long gone with the Nazis.

It's not only the Christians who are doing things like this, It's people who hate anything or anyone different than what they consider normal.

Maybe they figure controversial material makes the best bonfire for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs?

An episode of `The Waltons` back in `78 (the the end of the series run, when the time period covered the events leading up to WWII) featured a story line where the townspeople, reacting to anti-German sentiment, gathered up all the German-language books they could find and planned a book-burning. John-Boy told them they were being as bad as the people they professed to had, and to prove his point, grabbed a book from the pile and asked an old woman - a German-speaking immigrant - to read from it. It turned out to be a bible. Everyone slunk home, ashamed of what they had been about to do.

Ya us queers have to deal with this kind of crap all the time.I have found that the majority of 'Gods' people are more judgemental then those who claim not to believe in conforming to a religion.I am a spiritual and God loving person and really don't like to conform to any one organized religion.I believe that if you are a follower of God, then judge not his people, save it for judgement day!
