"I cried at a photographic exhibition called, "Without Sanctuary." The photos chronicled  the history of lynching in America.  Oddly, all the persons hanging from trees looked amazingly like me.  I believe that black men often ascribe such little worth to the lives  of other black men because the legacy of slavery and lynching causes us to question the worth and value of our own lives.
