This was already accomplshed long ago with the first 'Predator suit'. It was featured on the Discovery channel years ago after a U.S. Army general saw the cloaking ability of the 'Predator' and quickly told reseachers to "get on it". What they came up with was basically the same thing: A suit that was covered with hundreds of tiny cameras and displays. The cameras filmed what was behind you and projected it to the front displays.
