Built-in Flickr bar, blogging tool, technorati bar, rss reader..all of which made me switch from Firefox to Flock.

I've yet to find a browser that I like. I don't think that I have a use for all of the special features in Flock, but I will give it a try anyway.

Okay, I just installed Flock. How can I get clipmarks to work on it? I didn't see the extension on the Flock site, so I downloaded the Firefox one. It shows up in my extensions list, but I don't see any icons. Did I forget to do something?

You forgot to drag it to the toolbar, I believe.

I don't see any difference between Flock and Firefox, so I have been sticking with the one which has majority of users.

Thanks. I figured that I forgot something (it's been a while since I last installed Clipmarks).

I just tried the photo upload option in Flock. It was pretty nifty.

bunnicula - Did you make use of the flickr toolbar and the technorati conversations tracker? Just curious...

I've used the Photobucket toolbar but not the Flicker one (I did log into my Flickr account, but I rarely use Flickr, so I haven't tested out the toorbar).

I have been using the RSS news reader. I really like the Front Page feature (it reminds me of the Google News page), but I don't like that the reader is tied to your computer (I usually use Bloglines, so that I can check my feeds from anywhere).

bunnicula:

That is my one complaint about Flock. The newsreader is sluggish.

OK...I like Flock too because I haven't loaded it with so much 'stuff'. Why do you guys use several browers? Anyone like IE7? Using Firefox makes me feel smart cause it does a lot of things *for* me!

I use several browsers for two basic reasons.
One, I love testing software in general, and two, by trying them all I find for myself which is best for me. Browser preferences, apart from security issues, are largely subjective.

Actually there's a third reason. I sometimes use different browsers for different purposes. For instance, clipping is much faster for me using Flock or IE7 than with The Fox because of the large number of extensions I have installed, and because the Save Clipmark toolbar button opens a new browser and thus takes forever as all the extensions are being loaded. I really hope this will be changed in an update very soon.
