RecordSage says: One would have to wonder why the Democrats voted for the guy unanimously and then try to discredit him when he's accomplishing what he was sent to do? POPPED So I'm curious where are the stats on what the general says - he says things are good - a republican poster child blog site says hes to be trusted - and they're pretty certain that everything moveon says is junk - like whats pop-worthy here is there factuality? I'm open minded open to arguments - but show me some fact. The statements are from a Petraeus interview with Rupert Murdoch's The Australian. No sources are given, just assertions that things are improving. These same assertions will be made to congress on Wednesday, we'll see how the democrats interrogate the general. The administration blanketed the Sunday talk shows with happy talk, even Clipmarks it seems. marszal, great attitude... Since you're the kind of guy (or gal) who is open-minded (certainly my applause for that), and if you don't trust the good General (although I don't see any reason why you wouldn't, since he hasn't done anything so far to mistrust him) and you're absolutely right about moveon people - looks like the only way you could find out is to hop on the plane to Baghdad and see for yourself. There have been a number of people, some staunch anti-war correspondents, who visited the place and came back with stories backing him up. All the facts are there, I'm not sure what you mean by 'show me some fact', certainly nobody in this audience has any, including myself, so 'arguin... No matter what the good general says, you can bet that there will be those arguing that he is just another right wing plant. Bush has been too obvious with his appointments and not very clever. He only hears what he, or the organ grinders, want to. I think it is a pity that such a well educated man with a hitherto unblemished record (to most) could finish up on the scrap heap because of allegiance to the encumbant president. That's wishful thinking on your part tabsey, because the good General certainly doesn't reflect any of the sentiments you have on his behalf... and I would think he should know better than you when it comes to him. Nice of you to care of course... luckily he won't be subjected to your comment... since that would be a pity. |
