hherbzilla says: Thusfar, I think Firefox has been less vulnerable that IE... but it's also been around a shorter period of time. However, the reason I went with Firefox is because I think it's just a better browser. I love the tabs and the many helpful and fun extensions that are available. If I get some extra security, that's just icing on the cake for me. I agree there Herb... sure, every app I used has warts but as long as it's pretty well stable (not perfect) and has the features I want, I use it. I would agree with Wolf and Herb... Sure Firefox has warts... What application doesn't have flaws? This is why so many apps are frequently patched. I think the agrument is how these flaws are handled. Microsoft waited much too long to begin acknowledging the flaws with IE/XP and is still struggling with this. SP2 is a nightmare for the novice and still spyware and viruses top the PC trouble list. Plus tab browsing is wonderful. EXTENSIONS. Until / Unless MS not only supports their own extensions, but allows you to import and use your existing Firefox extensions, there isn't a chance under heaven that I'll switch back. OMG I can't imagine browsing the web without my extensions. |
