maquser says: Roberts, Alito, Scalia, Thomas are all assholes. They have no sense of justice. I wonder if any are Catholic. (Aren't religious people supposed to be moral? Doesn't morality imply justice?) Justices having no sense of justice. Amazing. It's too bad when partisanship getting even to the highest court and common sense isn't priority anymore. Look, many people are imprisoned at Gitmo, and have been for years, who are not charged with any crime. And many, now, are not even suspected of any crime. Most were arrested by Pakistanis who were under pressure to deliver suspects; while Afghans fled the war into Pakistan, they were turned in for bounties. Very few were arrested on any battlefield. Taking away years of life from people who have committed no wrong is criminal behavior. That they could not even raise the question of whether any evidence justified their detention is heinous. How dare we claim such immorality defensible! "they're not religious, but they play them on tv" lol it's all pandering for votes to get themselves into power, just so they can do things however they please, at the offense and expense of everyone else in the world who knows far better I do wonder why people are so alarmed about the idea that courts might rule on whether there's a reason for detainees to be held. If the reason is real, the detainee is held. Why would we want to oppose that? |
