There is no such thing as "reverse discrimination". There is either discrimination or there isn't. HR people grind their teeth at hearing this term. I agree with oldbogus above. But something seems missing or wrong with that picture. The offers should go to the best qualified. Race, in that job, surely cannot be relevant. And "quotas" are only relevant within a pool of "qualified" applicants. Something seems wrong with this picture. Hey wiccantexan, I just came from a site with a most delightful story and it made me think of you immediately and thought it would be something you would like. I found it here: http://original.caw.org/articles/otherpeople.html But then I noticed, after looking at "your" site, the same chalice (?) with the star coming out and realized... you're most likely already aware of it! Unfortunately I'm one of those people that close the door when I take a pee, even when no one else is home. ..... Damn! But my wife and I do swim naked in our backyard pool! Does that count? I don't know about the term reverse discrimination but I have noticed a lowering of entrance standards in a lot of professions, and I have seen job notices for government positions where they actually say, "no white males need apply". |
