It's like a bully who will find a weakness in another kid and use it against him. We have done that. We have shown our weak side and the rest of the world is using it against us. Rather than standing up and saying "HEY we might have screwed up a few times, but we're still the most powerful nation in the world and we will kick your ass if we don't like what you're trying to do to us." But instead we cower down and take a beating.

well, if they have evidence that they were willfully engaging in espionage, then maybe they have reason to detain them. If they don't, then there should be no respect for those in Iran.
