This article reminds me of roller skating every weekend with peers. The girls would hang on one side of the rink with the music blasting waiting for the boys to pick a girl from the line-up--how awful for those girls who let others define their attractiveness in that way!
But we had sooooo much fun---and I loved the combination of sports, female bonding, and the mystique of the opposite sex
