Interesting....I had another one visit my little pond last night and what a mess he made. Time to set the trap again. I'd say that over the last 6 yrs we've trapped close to 18 or 20 and we live right in the middle of a city!!!

Jatfla, I saw one at my house at dawn last year. He looked a little lost, and I told him to skeedaddle on home before people started driving to work. I hope he made it. We have bayous all around my area.

My parents live in the woods and they have to bungee cord the trash cans shut to keep the raccoons out. One time, though, my Mom said she saw a little family of raccoons (mother and babies) all lined up outside the dining room window with their little faces pressed to the glass to see inside.

mousie. I had a similar experience before we screened in our back porch. As I was sweeping it here comes a Mama raccoon with 4 not so small followers. They just kept coming straight at me regardless of all the *shoooin'* I did. I ran in the house!!!!

And yes, shaor, when Husband goes to transfer them once they're trapped, they're not so cute. They have some really sharp teeth and claws. They need to be enjoyed from afar. :~)

They look cute and their antics are adorable but, if you corner one, look out, they are mean and vicious.

From what i've heard they can be a real problem in neighborhoods.
