Is there any segment of the judicial system that can be trusted?

I’m willing to bet this is not the only judge who uses the judicial system to line his pockets. We have been taught to trust the police, trust the judges and this is what we learn of real life.

This society is going to hell too damned fast.

It's all about greed. There are so many people who do not care who's lives are ruined, even children like these, who were never given a fair hearing, all in the name of money. And people defend this type of thing! As long as they can get away with it. 6,500 is an awful lot of cases to have just gone unnoticed, people just did not care and/or covered for him.

This is result of placing the self ahead of society.

You are right, greed is the motivator, but not just in respect to money. It also works for power and ego.
