I Clipped the same story from National Geographic. POPs all around!

Cool stuff.

The most interesting thing to me is that they discovered that there is variation in the size of scales, which, if they are anything like modern reptiles, probably corresponds to different coloration, so they can make an educated guess about the shapes of its markings.

The other thing is that we often forget that dinosaur bones are often found shattered in giant dumps, mixed in with several other species, and nowhere near arranged in the way they would have been when the dinosaur was alive or even intact.
