n2sooners says: That was the first thing I wondered when I first heard the special rate excuse. How did they happen to get the ad run on the first day of the general's appearance when the date wasn't supposed to be guaranteed? Its about time somebody gave publicity to one of the many organizations petitioning for peace. And they had to pay for it. In the world of Bush Media, I don't recall hearing a word about the Sept. 15th "die-in" in DC. Nor did I hear about the man who died after police restrained him with enough force to crush his pacemaker. Its not like $90,000.00 is so easy to come by. Besides, had they payed full price, the ad would still be there, and you would still have the people who worship empty uniforms bitching and moaning about it. |
