Perhaps this stimulus fiasco will help Obama realize that people only voted for the abstract concept of Barack Obama. It wasn’t a mandate for his policies because no one knew or cared to know what they were. Thus you have a new president with a huge approval rating and no support for anything he wants to do.

I hope you're right and that many who voted for him do not share his demonstrated views of the economy, health care and cap & steal. As his popularity decreases, hopefully Obama will realize his radical ideas are not what the majority want.

Congress however is a lost cause, with Fraken in there will be absolutely no chance of having 'checks & balances', they can do anything they want. The real scary thing is that only Obama will be able to keep congress in check however it seems he'll whip out the pen and sign anything they in front of him.
