Its surely tough to make decisions about the diplomatic posture America should take when defending (or supporting) liberty and democracy around the world. Especially when you hardly believe in in yourself. Its gonna be a tough 3.5 years for Obama at this rate.

ndeed.

Our own situation is South Africa is precarious for the same reason as Honduras' - if not potentially far worse. Our ANC Government's ultimate aim is to re-write our constitution catering for a one-party state with a life-term presidency - the way of all African.

It's unnerving to know that we can expect no help from the "world champions of democracy" should the need arise.

I don’t get Obama and Honduras. Why would we want to prop up some guy who’s trying to become a dictator against American interests? I could see some real warmongering president doing that because he wanted more challenges, but Obama doesn’t need more challenges. In fact, he needs like the bunny slope of foreign policy.

Right now, he’s dealing with Iran and North Korea where if he screws up someone gets nuked. How about he let Cheney take over the hard stuff while he’s still on the training wheels.
