An invasive species can not go extinct. Thats right! Mustangs are not native and the compete with native wildlife for food and water. This clip is a bunch of manure. The BLM is not wiping outthese horses. Period.
And yes, I own one of those feral buzzballs.

All equids originated in North America - ALL of them and nowhere else. Over the eons, they spread to the rest of the world over the various land bridges that came and went. During an extinction event during which we lost many of our unique large mammals, the horse became extinct - or nearly so - here. They were reintroduced to their homeland by the Spaniards in the 1500s, barely a blink in geological time since the last one disappeared here.
