Ruins no longer suffice to explain this trip away - too common. The only acceptable story: 1) Started my day at the resort (add: I was only there b/c my parents had a free timeshare exchange that needed to be used. add further: I HATE timeshares). 2) I had to get away from the tourists so I spent my day at an out of the way cenote I discovered. It was incredible and the little town nearby was amazing/so authentic. 3) Yeah, I did go out in Cancun one night. I figured it be be hilarious to check out the clubs. Boy was I right.
