Throwing your shoes at someone is considered a supreme insult in Islamic culture. It's as bad as had he spit in his face... which would have made for a cool youtube too.

Weren't the Secret Service a little far away and dare I say... slow? Had that guy had a gun, Bush would have been Swiss cheese. Sloppy job, SS.

What they fail to realize is that before we took out Hussein, not only wouldn't that guy have thrown the shoes, he wouldn't even have been a reporter! If he DID throw shoes at a visiting dignitary, he would have been shot - or worse!

Oh boy! Always comes back to Saddam, doesn't it. You got to wonder WHY he threw the shoe, but that doesn't matter as long as you can claim that you were right, which you were not.
