This is garbage spun by those who want to profit from war. Not surprised it is in the NYT. And it is right on the front page,too.

I'm shaking my head in total dismay as life continues to parody science fiction. I can clearly imagine one of Skynet's founding researchers issuing the same information as clipped above while seeking go-ahead funding.

Stop the world. I want to get off.

I guess we are just going to have to have faith that our children will pick up on the crap that is going on and be able to deal with it. But, I guess over the long span of generations, parents have always been fearful for the future of their children.
And, who wants to tell a kid how bad things are, not me.
