Online world's never were safe. Only the illusion that they were.

Hey Napster,

I am very aware that there is no "safe" place. I suppose I should have been more clear.
What I meant to say was that nothing seems to exist without the touch of terrorism anymore. On the train, in the car, on the street ... The possibility of terrorism in the real world is always there, and always was even before September 11, 2001. I was just hoping I could at least hang out in Second Life without having to hear about it that's all.

I hope the Second Life people pass a John Doe type law to stop Second Life community representatives from being sued for discrimination if they report suspicious activity!

Thanks for clipping this. It reminds me of one of Neal Stephenson's books, Snow Crash, that dealt with this subject in great detail. Not just terrorism, but bandwagonism too! This book came around 1990, but it reads like a diary of Second Life.
