Well, you know, think what they did to our people! Think of the children that died there, pregnant mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, thousands! They did not give one thought to killing our people, these investigators, though I do not condone this, they probably felt sick to thier stomachs of what these terrorist's did. I do not think I could have been that calm in front of them myself.
So my sympathies here go with the investigators not the terrorist's!! They had one tough job and did whatever they could to prevent any further attacks!

My sympathies never lie with torturers, period. That's a feeble excuse that doesn't pass muster. The "good guys" are supposed to be better than that, just because the other side is evil doesn't give you carte blanche to do the same.

Sorry, that doesn't cut it. I also doubt that it worked.

It's 1 thing to say something, it's another thing to do something. There's a difference. I think it's too right in situations to scare people to get the truth. They wouldnt bother telling the truth otherwise and it could cost a huge amount of lives.

That is based on a series of false assuptions:

That the person actually knows anything of value

And that it will yield any real results.

It is a cowardly tactic and it is torture.

So your own fear is no justification for such an act.

Investigate and indict.

Shoar, you dare compare the deaths of mere thousands to the many millions who have died in the Middle East due to the so-called "War on Terror"; the children, the women; men and boys who have been dragged away from their families on the flimsiest of evidence to be threatened and tortured? Are you trying to suggest that 1 American is worth thousands of people from another country? If you are, that's pretty damned shameful.

The torture that the CIA did produced NO useful intelligence of any kind (as any expert on torture will tell you that it won't); but rather was used to try to get prisoners to lie to support the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld phony excuses for the invasions and occupat...

Darkforce, go fight your fight somewhere else! I do NOT do political fights, I made a comment that was a valid point! BYE!

No, it was not a valid point. It was a paranoid, self-serving excuse for committing atrocities in the Middle East and beyond. Besides, evidence is coming out that it is much less likely that a bunch of Arabs pulled off 9-11, and more likely that someone with much more influence in America did it instead. In fact, there is absolutely no viable evidence whatsoever that Osama bin Ladin had anything to do with it, so the so-called "justification" for invading two sovereign countries in the Middle East is nothing but a lie.

It isn't about politics; it's about you trying to evoke an emotional response to compensate for having absolutely nothing else to justify the war crimes of America. It's abou...
