At one time, with my youngest son, we were on a first name basis with the all the nurses and doctors at our local ER, whatever shift. I could go in with both sons, but the admitting nurse would ignore the oldest and just ask "what has he done now?" if blood or broken bone was not apparent. Personally though, I've always been thankful I didn't have girls--clicks, back-biting of middle school/jr high, proms, high cost of weddings. Sons were easier, even though the youngest totaled 2 cars, numerous speeding tickets, we all survived it and now he is a joy as a man. Great stories Sat... Have two sons too...as different as night and day. My daughter (though many heartaches) is my joy & delight. With them there's usually only 1 or 2 things to worry about. With boys, it's infinite! I have a son and a daughter. They weren't perfect but they didn't have juvenile criminal records either. I have a granddaughter and a grandson. My granddaughter isn't perfect but she's a sweet girl. My grandson is a handfull. I love him but.... |
