Actually, it suggests the opposite. This has been war-gamed is all lending credibility to the experts that spelled these scenarios. US policy has always maintained it is not about al-Queda. It is about the global Islamist movement and states that fund these efforts. There will still be need to hold states accountable. You will continue to see independent operations like the one just foiled in Saudi Arabia. In reality this suggests that the Islamists feel the global network is adequate to sustain global jihad.
