Bodark says: Bon Apetite Although I agree with most of this list, and am a fan of soy for the most part, to the best of my knowledge uncooked or raw soy is poisonous, even for farm animals. Do your own research on this matter. I really would not want to see people grinding up raw soy beans for instance and putting the resulting flour into anything without it having been cooked. BTW I have often made soy milk and also tofu. In fact I've got some beans soaking right now, and tomorrow morning I shall make tofu Thanks for the comment, Socratoad. You're right. Although perhaps not technically poisonous, soy beans should not be eaten raw. http://citebite.com/p7w7e4x0nxft You're also right that everyone should do his/her own research, beginning with checking out the original article and continuing from there. In this case, it seems the researchers would consider soy milk, tofu and soy powder "uncooked" even though boiling is part of the process by which they are made. Muffins or snack bars baked with soy milk, soy flour and/or tofu would be considered cooked. It seems how high the temperature gets is the key. [url=http://citebite.com/m7n7i4r3offd]ht... |
