This last gift, I wouldn't wish on anybody. All those US jobs that went away to India are now taking their toll on the Indians who took on the outsourced tasks. My Gran used to say that "money isn't everything, especially if you aren't going to be around to enjoy it." It looks like a lot of these folks are feeling the strain of trying to balance a "good job" with good mental and physical health.

As anyone who has ever worked in a call centre will tell you, they are the most depressing places in the world. Sure the companies concerned do genuinely try to make these environments more appealing, naming rest areas 'Team Buzz Pods' and other childishly insulting psudonyms for other mundane tasks / spaces. But there's an extra level of demeaning elements to these jobs: the people you talk to...
speaking to people in call centres is much the same way as speaking to people over the internet, with anonimity being key to behaviour.
