willhelm says: Not for the politically feint of heart! Millions stand-up to back the plan to quarantine Washington. I hope this footage is really from "our" rally. Have you seen the 2-million person crowd photo that was posted on conservative sites over the weekend? It was at least a decade old from some other rally. Embarrassing! Until we stop using lies to prove our very valid arguments people are just going to laugh at us. Geesh! Get real. Buy a freakin' tv for goodness sakes. I'm on Glenn Beck's side and yours. I marched in the Fort Worth protest. I recorded Glenn Beck and watched the whole show on TV. I know that more often than not the crowds were under-counted. I was only making the point that we need to be careful when we mass distribute the "truth" of our numbers, our investigations into corruption, our real concerns about socialism and communism. So many faked photos, sensationalistic conspiracy theories and urban legends are making the rounds and gullible patriots are posting them as truths. It makes us all look foolish. The facts are damning enough to this administration and to the powergrab our Congress has forced upon its electorate. I just wish... I know, I know, It just really pisses me off when people try to be conciliatory with Leftists on matters of degree. I wholeheartedly agree. We must hold to the truth and represent only the truth. That said, your example above about a blogger passing on a photo that was mistakenly used has nothing to do with this. There are local resident who say this was the largest crowd they had ever seen there. There were restrictions put in place to not allow cameras at higher levels of altitudes. This was perhaps the largest gathering in DC history. I wont play conciliatory number games with idiots who say the crowd was 30,000. It actually quite pisses me off. Sorry to be so miffed. |
