This link gives a map of the partisan. It was a legitimate attempt to be fair to both parties. Prior to most of the 20th century the mindset of wars was "to the victor goes the spoils". The British were the victors and rather than taking it as their possession they chose to divide it up for a homeland for the Jews and the Arabs. Little did they realize.....

Well that was breached right off. The UK sold out Palestine because it was broke after the war. No high motives, just the UK's short term interest. I'll offer you an alternate solution that might help you understand.

Thanks for your comments. There's plenty to not understand about this long and cruel conflict and I for one have much to learn. Yes, Righthand, the Zionists have their own agenda far removed from the true Jewish community and our current administration plays up to them faithfully. But to stay true to our beliefs, that there can be a non-violent solution to this conflict, is what we need to remember and be pro-active about. Knowledge is strength.
