~ GD. Why do you comment with symbols on your own entries? (I'm genuinely curious.) I do that most often when I have clipped something at an hour when few are here, and when it's an item that I think has potential for broad appeal and/or usefulness. Essentially just a way of saying, Did you miss this? Worth checking. Well, a lot of good it did. I really don't get why no one seems to be interested in this. But I don't get a lot of things. What a great idea. I use toread.cc all the time for myself, but it never occurred to me to set up multiple accounts for multiple recipients. An alternative hack would be to set up multiple accounts in, say, your Gmail address like this: enbar+myfriend@gmail.com enbar+ops@gmail.com">pops@gmail.com enbar+boss@gmail.com .. and then set up filters in Gmail to forward the messages to the appropriate people. That way you don't have to give your friends' and family members' addresses to a strange Japanese website if you don't want to. DOn't know why the addresses formatted so oddly above. Another hack I tried wasto forward everything from toread.cc to a mail-to-RSS gateway, but it never worked reliably. The formatting would get screwed up and messages would get truncated or duplicated or lost. But that would be the best, for me -- to have a toolbar button that would add a cached copy of a page to a feed I had set up, so that at the end of each day I could send the feed to RSS2PDF and print out a little magazine of webclips to read. With toRead I never do the setup for anyone, I tell them about it and then they decide if they want to do it. Very few have declined and so far no problems with a "strange Japanese website". I use the Gmail +blahblah filter for myself but had thought of using in in conjunction with forwarding. Very nice. Also, for the super cautious, you can add a step and use toRead with TrashMail. That's another great idea you have with the "little mag of webclips" Another nice thing that sets toRead apart is that it sends the page exactly as it was when you were on it and clicked the bookmarklet You can also remove whatever you like using Click2Zap and the page it sends will arrive just as you've edited it. Well, a lot of good it did. I really don't get why no one seems to be interested in this. But I don't get a lot of things.I wouldn't take it as non-interest. Not everyone comments or pops - perhaps they just bookmarked the link. Bookmarking a link would seem an unusual thing for a Clipper to do. By the way, I don't think the source is accessible because it's in my GoogleDocs. So was it of interest to you? Did you try it? I bookmarks links in Clipmarks all the time, particularly to suggested 'tool' sites so I can try them later. That would seem a natural thing to do. I haven't tried it yet, but I have bookmarked it. It's possibly of interest. You're right, it is, I do that my own self, now that I think about it--especially, as you say, with the web tools. I bookmarks links in Clipmarks all the timeI've found that I use del.ic... less and less due to cm - If I want to keep hold of something I'll usually comment, follow the clipper (if I'm not already) and, occasionally, add to it my clips.
