Do you subscribe to the entire list of behaviors, both required and proscribed, in Leviticus, each and every last one? Do you keep a kosher kitchen? Do you make burnt offerings to God? Do you consume blood products in your meat? How about shrimp? Do you shave?

Because either you follow scrupulously the "literal word of God", or you're cherry-picking which of "God's Laws" you want to follow (and require everyone else to) while crying Deus vult.

I'm sure Jesus said something about hypocrisy somewhere. I think he also said something about the faithful who parade their religiosity publicly, making a grand show of their piousness but are like ...

I'm sure Jesus said something about hypocrisy somewhere. I think he also said something about the faithful who parade their religiosity publicly, making a grand show of their piousness but are like whitewashed tombs: sparkling outside, full of rot inside.

I'm pretty sure that's something Jesus mentioned.
