As Ron Paul warns UN sanctions are a pathway to wars, and always the new justifications for them, as was the case with Iraq. The UN is not "moderate", or a world savior, it is an arbitrary usurping world governing body stacked with the "powers that be" moving all toward world conformity by either incentive or force.

Since the UN was formed, after the WWI League of Nations failed, wars and global conflicts have increased, not decreased. The UN is nothing less than a global "gang" teaming up to suppress and usurp all sovereign rule under the pretense of "democracy" and "world peace", and its tenants are entirely supported by the Bush family and neocons, while their tactics may differ.

To suggest that only "UN approved" nations can have nuclear power, even weapons, makes clear their goal of global dominance, as if their ideological dictatorial rule is not tyrannical in nature.
