I like snakes in pictures and far far away from me.

I think snakes are creepy.

Re: Texas

We boast a stunning 68 species of snakes. If you include both species and subspecies in that number, it gives you a grand total of 115 - the highest number in all of the United States.

None ever in Ireland. Nothing to do with St.Patrick.

My apologies to the snakes. Saw the title and thought this was about politicians!

Most snakes have such cute little faces and pretty eyes. I like them! I used to catch them for fun, when I was a kid. (Even poisonous ones, to the horror and dismay of my parents) Today I live in snake free territory and that's kind of boring.

@TN, where were you living as a kid to be catching poisonous snakes? We were living in South America for a while and my little brother used to go out into the garden to collect black scorpions and hide them in my underwear drawer, also much to hte horror of my parents! In his defence, he was about 3 at the time so I don't htink he meant me any harm. We get along great!

Western Australia.

I spent a great deal of my childhood in the bush around the Wongan Hills area. Oh, it was the life, I can tell you. .

As a group, snakes are cosmopolitan, occurring on all major land masses except Antarctica, Iceland, Ireland, Newfoundland and New Zealand.
