debbyski says: An interesting article with links to test whether your social security number is one that is on a too public domain. Debbyski, thanx for the article and the link. Of course, if I wanted to be totally paranoid, I could ask how we can be sure that this site isn't collecting numbers for nefarious purposes. The same thing went though my mind, Zazel If someone really wants to get info on you there is always a way no matter what you do to protect yourself and it really is a scary fact but what can we do about it? Probably check your credit report quite often and shred credit card offers. If you have credit cards, check your activity online quite often. Someone else's bills were on my credit report in 2000 and it took me almost 3 years to get them removed. I shudder to think what might happen if someone had actually stolen my identity (it was a s.s. number mix-up) Good clip Dski...thanks! Hey debbyski I do not have any credit cards because someone stoled my # or something and was using it in another state and I had to prove it wasn't me I finally got everything back to normal. After that I cut all my credit cards. So I know what you went through. Good clip Glad you got it taken care of pink! Thanks debbyski! |
