Laugh at it if you will, Scouting is a movement for good which should be encouraged. And no, I'm not a scout.

I was a scout, though I didn't go as far as I now wish I would have. However, I am currently very involved with my son and we truly enjoy it. It teaches some very very valuable lessons that many people I know should have learned and didn't because there parents obviously didn't teach them. Some of the best things they teach in my opinion are, respect for others and survival in any situation among many many other things.

@djkraz. Although never a Scout, I value the movement's solid contribution to society and agree wholeheartedly with your comments.

I don't know about where you live, but in Oz, nearly all scout groups are DESPARATE for leaders.

Hi Covi, I'm a bit long in the tooth to take up Scouting now, never mind the ravages of time taking its toll. However, it is a fine organisation and deserves the best people it can get. Mick, UK
