I am still bemused at the American use of words such as socialism in reference to the parties. Australians are more into "left wing" and "right wing". Both our main parties are right of centre, ie right wing, as are yours. Socialism is not just about money, it is a political system.

hehe yeh, socialism is a special trigger word over there, a kind of Pavlovian thing I guess. Lot`s of them still oppose a national health-care system because it`s `socialist` - really weird.

It starts here.

The real idiocy here is the assumption that you can take money from people who have none and increase the wealth of those who do, all the while spurring the greatest 20 year economic advance in the history of the world, in a nation where the poorest people are among the wealthiest 5% of the world. Furthermor, that wealth creation systemically lifts most other nations as well.

Secondly, it takes more than a limited view trapped in the system of materialistic hate, which is socialism, while having no real concept of the meaning of real liberty that is entrenched in the culture through the facts of America's founding...
