Haven't you seen anything where the Department of Just Us goes after those not involved in scamming people ?
It serves a double purpose : punishing the innocent so that others will not be inclined to rebel and showing the government will punish wrongdoers to the gullible, which is most people.

Yeah, this is totally more BS from the worst administration in the galaxy. Anyone wonder why all this is being done in private - when this is suppose to be a democracy? Put CSpan in there and let the American people hear what the hell is going on.

If they want the American people to inject money into the economy, then give everyone who has paid taxes a nice $1 million dollar refund this month. (according to Wikipedia there is 178 million taxpayers in 2007). So that is still only $178 million, much less the the $700 billion. Most avg Americans can pay off all there debt and have money to buy more stuff which would get the economy rolling.

$1,000,000 x 178,000,000 taxpayers = $178,000,000,000,000 (trillion)

$3,932 x 178,000,000 taxpayers = aprrox $700,000,000,000 (billion)

Thanks Deb. I did mess up the math. But perhaps all is not lost, once the bailout is done I surely can get hired on Wall Street or the Treasury since math skills are not so important
