It's amazing how fast we went from 'we won't seat him' to 'he's endorsed', from the same set of lips.

No, this is beyond even that. Typically 'flip flop' would be saying one thing, some time passing, circumstances changing and then you're saying something else and/or talking to a difference audience, but this, I believe, needs a new term of its own.

Of course the media just folds right along as if nothing happened. Alternate reality strikes again.
