egoldstein says: Sure seems like they wanted things to play out this way. Why? It is my belief from all the reading I've done on the subject over the last couple of years, Kim probably needs more money. Example: quote excerpted from the same article.... "Under a 2007 six-party deal, North Korea agreed to disable its main nuclear complex — a step toward its ultimate dismantlement — in return for 1 million tons of fuel oil and other concessions." Food for thought: exactly who gave them 1 million tons of fuel while we paid outrageous prices for gas at the pump? He starts threatening when he needs money and goods. You don't really think he spends it on his poor do you? (just a rhetorical question). "The council's statement also said it "agrees" to expand sanctions ... I read that nuclear info is the only exportable commodity that N. Korea has at this time. Frankly, I don't believe it's "resumed"; I think they have never stopped regardless of what we've been told. I agree with jatfla. That's why Kim Jong and his council keep up the threats. Who do you think is really financially supporting his nuclear expansion? |
