This is why people should not just resort to calcium supplements right away without looking into it.
There are other ways to get sufficient calcium/magnesium intake like through your diet. There are many house hold foods which are rich in calcium and just adding them to your regular diet it is easy enough to do, I think it is much better to spend a little extra time in the kitchen to make sure you are adding some calcium rich foods to your diet rather than just craming a pill down your throat. I use a tool on the internet that tells me the level of important nutrients that I am getting from my diet. It is a cool tool and I use it often. Want to thank you for the Calcium calculator link definitely a great find. Will be using it in my future.

I am not sure of your age but will say if you are under 50 you may want to start using steps (2 flights) per day every day, they help to strengthen bone mass also any exercise where you are using your bones against gravity helps. Jumping Jacks every morning for 10-15 mins per day will help as well.

I have osteopenia or thinning of the bones; these two exercises have been highly recommended by all my doctors and they have helped.

Problem is we (ourselves) do not look for this until after menopause and usually we are in dire straits and have to take doctor's pre...
