The Democratic Party was once a third party. They were initially called the the Democratic-Republican Party after the nations founding. Then, there were the whigs...not really a third party, but a re-established party. Then, in the mid-1800s, the Republican party was a third party. I don't see anywhere in history where third parties make a mess of things, jatfla. Third parties renew us. What we have now is a system controlled by two parties who are putting on a puppet show. I support a 2 party system over multiple parties, I just happen to think parties should be destroyed by the electorate when they become deadly.
