It's time we start spending our tax money on things that we really need like health care and not some fighter that we don't need and is too expensive.

The reason they have discontiued funding is because manned military aircraft are obsolete, due to the Predator Drones they now employ on mass.

Yeah I did read a story on how the military would like to go pilotless in the future. But that will be a while yet.

Technically the Predator Drones are pilotless, as in they are not acting on their own yet thankfully.
But they are able to take simple commands such as moving to pre-programmed GPS locations, meaning that a single operator could in theory operate multple drones.
